Ministry

Ministry at Burgmann Anglican School is grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ which shapes the way students learn, connect care for others within the School community. Through worship, service, learning and relationships, students are encouraged to explore the Christian life, belonging and purpose in thoughtful and age-appropriate ways.

Alex Abecina

Head of Ministry

As an Anglican school, Burgmann Anglican School’s approach to ministry is grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ and reflected throughout the life of the School community. Ministry supports students spiritually, socially and emotionally through experiences that encourage reflection, connection, service and personal growth.

Students engage with ministry through chapel services, Christian Living classes, lunchtime groups, worship opportunities and service initiatives across all stages of schooling. Programs are designed to provide welcoming and inclusive opportunities for students of all backgrounds to explore questions of faith, identity and community within a respectful and supportive environment.

Ministry at Burgmann is closely connected to wellbeing, relationships and the development of character, compassion and belonging.
