Christian Formation Program

Developed in partnership with Gungahlin Anglican Church, the Christian Formation Program supports students from Early Learning through to Senior School. The program focuses on spiritual wellbeing, character formation, developmental milestones and local and global community, encouraging students to grow in understanding, compassion and connection.

Chapel Services

Students participate in regular chapel services coordinated by the School Chaplains. Chapel includes music, prayer, Bible talks, reflection, guest speakers and special presentations in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Whole-school Easter and Christmas services are important moments in the life of the Burgmann community.

Chapel Band

Middle and Senior School students can participate in Chapel Band through singing or instrumental performance. Students rehearse regularly and contribute to chapel worship and major School services while developing confidence, collaboration and musical skills through shared leadership and participation.

GULP and EPHO

Lunchtime ministry groups provide opportunities for students to explore The Christian Life beyond the classroom. GULP Cru operates in Junior School, while EPHO groups support students in Middle and Senior School. These groups are connected with Crusaders Union and include discussion, community, guest speakers and leadership opportunities.

Christian Living

Christian Living classes form an important part of Ministry within the classroom. Junior School students explore foundational Bible stories, while Middle and Senior School students engage more deeply with biblical understanding, ethics, spirituality and the relevance of faith to everyday life in an open and respectful learning environment.

Gungahlin Anglican Church Partnership

Burgmann shares a close relationship with Gungahlin Anglican Church through a formal covenant partnership. Together, the School and Church provide opportunities for worship, youth engagement, family services and faith formation across the broader community.

Charity and Fundraising Partnerships

Service and charitable giving are important expressions of The Christian Life at Burgmann Anglican School. Students are encouraged to develop compassion, empathy and awareness of local and global needs through practical support, fundraising and community engagement opportunities. The School currently supports organisations including Anglicare through the Winter Pantry Appeal and Compassion. Throughout the year, students also participate in a range of initiatives that raise awareness, provide practical assistance and support communities in need both locally and globally.
