Inclusion at Burgmann Anglican School supports students to access learning, build confidence and participate fully in school life. Through personalised plans, classroom adjustments, academic and organisational support, and close collaboration with families, teachers and specialist staff, students are supported according to their individual strengths and needs.
Burgmann Anglican School is committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs, strengths and circumstances so they can engage meaningfully in their learning and broader school experience.
The Inclusion team works alongside students, families, teachers and, where appropriate, external specialists to identify needs, develop support strategies and monitor student progress. Support may include in-class assistance, individual learning support, personalised plans, assessment provisions, assistive technology, and strategies to help students strengthen organisation, time management and confidence as learners.
Inclusion support is responsive and may change over time as students’ needs, circumstances and learning demands change. Students may access support for short-term or ongoing needs, with the aim of helping them participate, experience success and develop greater independence across their educational journey.
The School’s approach to inclusion recognises that support is not one-size-fits-all. Adjustments are designed to help students access appropriate learning opportunities, whether they require additional support, targeted intervention or adjustments that respond to particular strengths or needs.
