Governance

The Burgmann Anglican School Board is a volunteer board comprised of dedicated individuals who bring diverse and important skills to the governance of this school.

The main functions of the Burgmann Anglican School Board are to develop strategic directions, ensure ongoing financial viability and to govern the school in accordance with the School’s Ordinance, Mission and Strategic Plan.

The Board Chair and Deputy Chair are appointed by the Schools Commission of the Diocese with the approval of the Bishop. Board membership includes the Rector of the Gungahlin Anglican Parish and a nominee from the Gungahlin Anglican Church Parish Council, in recognition of the unique and enduring relationship between Burgmann and the Gungahlin Anglican Church. The Board typically meets eight times each year and has subcommittees that meet as required to discuss Finance and Risk and other issues.
