The Burgmann Anglican School Co-curricular Program is a vibrant and integral part of our educational offering.

Co-curricular at Burgmann is designed to complement classroom learning. This program provides students with a rich array of opportunities to explore their interests, develop their talents, and engage in meaningful experiences beyond traditional academic settings.

Our co-curricular program encompasses a wide range of activities across three distinct streams:

  • The Ernest Program: This stream focuses on personal growth, leadership development, and character building. Students are presented with various challenges and opportunities that encourage them to step out of their comfort zones, discover their potential, and cultivate essential life skills such as resilience, problem-solving, and teamwork. Through the Ernest Program, students learn to embrace challenges, develop self-confidence, and become well-rounded individuals prepared for success in their future endeavours.
  • Performing Arts: At Burgmann, we celebrate and nurture the creative talents of our students. The Performing Arts Program provides a platform for students to explore various art forms such as music, drama, dance, and visual arts. Through participation in choirs, bands, theatrical productions, and art exhibitions, students develop their artistic abilities, express themselves creatively, and gain a deeper understanding of the performing arts. The program encourages collaboration, self-expression, and fosters a sense of pride and accomplishment in students' artistic achievements.
  • Sport: We recognise the significant role that physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship play in a student's holistic development. Our Sports Program offers a diverse selection of sporting activities, catering to a wide range of interests and abilities. Students can participate in team sports, individual sports, and recreational activities, fostering physical well-being, healthy competition, and a lifelong appreciation for an active lifestyle.

Our co-curricular program is designed to promote personal growth, foster a sense of belonging, and enhance students' overall educational experience. By actively engaging in these activities, students develop valuable life skills, discover new passions, build lasting friendships, and develop a strong sense of community. We believe that participation in our co-curricular program not only enhances academic achievement but also shapes well-rounded individuals with the skills, values, and experiences necessary for success in all aspects of life.

We offer programs in music, drama, visual art, design and digital technologies. There are plentiful ways to contribute via service learning and make meaningful connections with the broader community.
