Each of us was given GRACE according to the measure of Christ's gift (Ephesians 4:7) COMMITMENT: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16); Turn your ear to WISDOM and apply your hearts to understanding (Prov 2:2).

Burgmann Anglican School is one of five Diocesan Schools governed by Ordinances of the Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn. Goals and principles for these schools are contained in the Ethos Statement prepared by the Diocesan Schools Council. The school also has a covenant with the Gungahlin Anglican Church; that is, to proclaim the gospel of Christ to the school community. This covenant fits within the scope of the Ordinances.

On these premises the school professes specific core values. These values apply to all parties within the total community: children, parents, staff and the Board. Each is expressed during the everyday life of the school.

The school is firmly based on the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ calls us to make a commitment to Him, to ideals, to achievement and to others in our own lives. As we continue on a path of life-long learning, God will grant us wisdom.

Our core values are summarised in our motto, Grace, Commitment, Wisdom:

Each of us was given GRACE according to the measure of Christ's gift (Ephesians 4:7) COMMITMENT: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16); Turn your ear to WISDOM and apply your hearts to understanding (Prov 2:2).

These three values form the foundation for the school. From this motto flow values that enable Burgmann to be a unique community, place of learning and place of work.
