Volunteering
Community participation is an important part of life at Burgmann. Families, carers, grandparents, alumni and friends of the School are encouraged to contribute their time, skills and experience across a range of programs, events and community activities.
Burgmann values the contribution of volunteers and recognises the important role families and community members play in supporting school life. Opportunities to get involved exist across classrooms, co-curricular programs, events, community initiatives and senior student mentoring.
Whether assisting with activities, supporting community events, becoming a Class Parent or participating in the Professional Connections Program, volunteers help strengthen relationships and connection across the School community. Volunteering also provides opportunities for families to build friendships, contribute to school life and support students across a wide range of experiences.
All volunteers are required to hold a current ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration and complete the School’s volunteer registration process.
