Author Jack Heath Visits Middle School
Burgmann was delighted to host Canberra author Jack Heath in Middle School this week. Jack is the author of the Danger, Scream, Liars and Timothy Blake series, and his work has been recognised with multiple awards and shortlists.
Jack shared his journey to becoming a writer, including his early experiences at Dymocks Belconnen where he observed what readers were drawn to, helping shape his understanding of what makes a book compelling. Year 6 and 7 students enjoyed hearing about his process and experiences, while Year 8 students engaged in workshops on how to develop strong ideas and craft engaging narratives.
Visits like this inspire our students by showing what is possible through creativity, persistence and a love of learning.
