At Burgmann, our Year 10 students participate in the RISE (Relate with Integrity; Service with Earnest) Leadership Program, developing conscious and mindful leadership skills through an exploration of their decisions, behaviours, strengths and values. Students build strong relationships while making meaningful contributions to the school community.
One of the ways this is achieved is to buddy with a Year 3 student, utilising activities from the Grow Your Mind wellbeing program. This fosters a sense of community and furthers the Year 10 students’ leadership skills as they impart their wisdom as mentors to the Year 3 students.
