Our Year 3 students put their design thinking into action recently at a special Design Panel with parent experts.
The panel marked the culmination of their work in 3D Objects and Measurement, where students explored proportions, why certain shapes are more effective for building, and how to use metric units with accuracy.
Their challenge was to imagine ideas for a sensory garden behind the Year 3 area and design an addition for it. Students created blueprints, wrote explanations and crafted persuasive letters to share their thinking.
Parent volunteers formed the Design Panel, offering questions, insights and encouragement that helped students refine their ideas. The Chapel was buzzing with energy as students presented their concepts and talked through the decisions behind their designs.
Thank you to the parents who joined us. Your expertise and support made this a meaningful and memorable learning experience for our Year 3 students.
