We were delighted to welcome visiting artist Stephen Chin to Burgmann last week. A renowned violinist, teacher and composer, Stephen is well known among string educators as a leading voice in string instruction, exam preparation and ensemble development.
While in Canberra to deliver professional learning for string educators, Stephen included Burgmann in his schedule, providing a valuable opportunity for our students.
Working with our Middle School String Ensemble, Stephen’s workshop focused on performance techniques, ensemble skills and ways to elevate their playing. The extended rehearsal provided a valuable opportunity for students to refine their expression, adaptability and confidence as performers.
