Belinda Cox, Burgmann Anglican School’s Gifted and Talented Coordinator, will present at the Canberra Gifted Awareness Week Symposium next week.
Her presentation, It Takes a Village: Why a Whole-School Approach Matters for Gifted and Twice-Exceptional Learners, explores the importance of building shared understanding across an entire school community to better support gifted and twice-exceptional students.
Belinda will challenge common misconceptions about giftedness and twice-exceptionality, encouraging schools to move beyond identification alone and towards evidence-based, inclusive practices that support students academically, socially and emotionally.
At Burgmann Anglican School, we believe that supporting learners well requires collective responsibility. Creating environments where students are both challenged and understood is strengthened when educators, families and support teams work together with shared purpose.
We are pleased to have Belinda contributing to this important professional conversation within the Canberra education community.
