Today our staff gathered for the Burgmann Staff Retreat to begin Term 4 grounded in connection, to each other, our Anglican identity and the beautiful environment that surrounds us.
More than 250 staff from across the School, including our ELC, OSHC, Support and Teaching teams, came together for a day of reflection and learning. Beginning with a Communion Service led by the Ministry Team from Gungahlin Anglican Church, we explored the theme Sacred Spaces and what it means to find meaning and connection in the spaces we share.
Our psychologists spoke about the wellbeing benefits of time spent in nature and the importance of doing so with intention. In the afternoon, staff-led workshops provided opportunities to reconnect in smaller groups through activities such as yoga and gardening, as well as exploring play design, reconciliation and equine therapy.
As we step into the new term, we do so with a renewed appreciation for the sacred spaces we create together, in our classrooms, our grounds and our community.
