Our Year 7 students took the lead in promoting mental health awareness across Middle School today, running a range of interactive activities for Year 6 in recognition of R U OK? Day.

The initiative formed part of their Health and Physical Education assessment, with students asked to create activities or campaigns that support mental wellbeing and foster a sense of belonging.

Students approached the challenge with creativity and care. They facilitated physical games, breathwork, conversation prompts, quizzes and calm spaces with the goal of encouraging meaningful connection.

Bridget Selig, Middle School PE Teacher, said, “We hope this will be a valuable and meaningful experience for both year levels, encouraging positive conversations and skill building around mental health.”
