As part of their Term 3 Charity and Service Day, our Junior School students rolled up their sleeves for a Spring Clean in partnership with Clean Up Australia.
Pre-Kindergarten to Year 3 students focused on tidying up their own school campuses, while Year 4 and 5 students ventured across the road to the Gungahlin Wetlands to help care for the local ecosystem.
This initiative gave students the chance to make a real contribution to their community, develop responsibility for sustainability, and take pride in looking after the world around them. It was a wonderful expression of the Burgmann Key to Contribute, taking responsibility and action to positively impact the environment and the people around us.
