In the Junior School, French and digital technologies are coming together in a practical and engaging way.

Under the guidance of French teacher Michael Chapman, K–2 students have been using Bee Bots to explore simple directional language. Working in small groups, they design maps and program their Bee Bots to move using French instructions such as left, right, stop and go.

It’s a clear example of how purposeful use of technology can support language learning, giving students the opportunity to apply new vocabulary in a hands-on context.
