Construction has officially commenced on Burgmann Anglican School’s new purpose built Preschool at the Forde Campus, marked by a sod turning ceremony attended by students, staff and members of the School Board.

The new facility will cater for 154 children, including 88 four year olds and 66 three year olds, bringing together our existing Preschool programs in one dedicated Early Years environment.

Designed specifically for young learners, the centre will feature light filled classrooms, natural outdoor play spaces and an onsite kitchen providing daily meals for the children. The design supports a connected, community focused approach to early learning, with spaces that encourage curiosity, confidence and collaboration.

This development builds on more than 25 years of early childhood education at Burgmann. It reflects strong demand from families seeking a seamless pathway from Early Years through to Year 12, and a continued investment in the foundations of learning.

From 2027, the expanded two year Preschool program will operate from the new Forde facility, while the Valley Campus Early Learning Centre will focus on children aged six months to two years. Together, these settings will strengthen continuity of care and learning across our Early Years offering.

We are pleased to be partnering with Manteena to deliver this important project and look forward to sharing updates as construction progresses.
