Work is now underway on the new Sports Centre at the Valley Campus, marking an important milestone for the School and its growing community.

Students were part of the official sod turning ceremony alongside Dr Andrew Leigh MP, Member for Fenner, joined by representatives of the School Board, project partners and alumni George Timotheou (Class of 2015), sharing in the excitement of this significant step forward.

The new Sports Centre will include two full-sized indoor courts and a flexible indoor venue for whole-school events, with retractable seating for approximately 750 people. The facility has been designed to support physical education and co-curricular sport, while also providing a much-needed indoor space for assemblies and large gatherings.

A key feature of the project is the integration of amenities that can be accessed directly from the oval, supporting outdoor sport and improving the day-to-day use of the campus.

As the School continues to grow, the project responds to the need for additional space across both learning and co-curricular programs. Once complete, the existing gym will be repurposed into additional learning spaces for students and staff, further supporting teaching and learning across the School.

Made possible with the support of a Federal Government grant, the project has been brought forward from the School’s long-term planning, enabling construction to begin earlier than anticipated.

The Sports Centre is expected to be completed in April 2027.

The School acknowledges the contribution of project partners Manteena, Build& and Cox Architecture in the delivery of this development.
