Last week was a big one for learning beyond the classroom, with both Year 11 and Year 4 students out on camp.
Our Year 11 cohort travelled to AGH Camps at Douglas Park for their annual retreat, marking the beginning of senior studies. The retreat forms part of the Wellbeing Program and combines outdoor challenges, team activities and structured sessions that support students as they step into the academic and personal demands of the final years of school. Alongside high ropes, canoeing and initiative exercises, students spent dedicated time considering their goals and aspirations for the year ahead.
At the same time, our Year 4 students headed to Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre for their three day camp. Working in small teams, they took on problem solving challenges and a range of outdoor activities designed to build independence, resilience and connection. Through journaling and guided reflection, students were encouraged to think about their personal growth and the part they play within their cohort.

Camps look different at each stage of schooling, but each one is intentionally designed to support students’ growth and sense of belonging.
This week, our Year 5 students head to Sydney for their own adventure, continuing a busy and exciting start to the year across the school.
