The AIS Track and Field Centre was full of Burgmann energy in recent weeks as our Middle School and Senior School students and staff came together for their Athletics Carnivals.

There were plenty of strong performances and a number of records broken across the events. What stood out most, however, was the willingness of students to take part. Even with rain falling during the Middle School carnival, students turned up, got involved and brought plenty of House spirit with them. The energy across the day never dipped and the participation events were just as lively as the competitive races.

The Senior School carnival had a slightly different edge, with strong competition on the track and plenty of House pride on display. Our Year 12 students in particular embraced the day, making a real effort with costumes and helping create the atmosphere that makes these carnivals such a highlight of the school year.

Whether chasing a personal best, competing for House points or trying something new, the carnivals reflected something we value strongly at Burgmann, having a go and supporting each other.
