At Burgmann Anglican School, Above and Beyond is a Middle School program designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and collaboration.
Offered to Year 7 and 8 students, the program encourages learners to explore topics of personal interest such as genetic engineering, fitness training and sports media. Students design their own learning goals and work alongside peers across year levels in a supportive, assessment-free environment.
Lauren Orders, Year 7 Teacher and Leader of Culture and Wellbeing, explains that the program is all about sparking curiosity and joy. It gives students space to learn in creative and collaborative ways.
