National Athletics Championships – Sydney

A number of our Burgmann Athletes competed at the National Athletics Championships in Sydney last week. Although away for our MS SS House Athletics Carnival, they will compete at next terms ASC Zone Athletics Championships at the AIS Track Bruce (Thursday Week 2).

There were a number of personal best performances from our elite athletes. Eliza Rixon achieved amazing results, with 2 Gold Medal 1st places in the U16 1500m and 3000m, Matt McGrory an impressive 5th in the 800m and 4th in the U18 4 x 400m Relay, and notable performance was from Hannah Cadden with a 4th in the U15 2000m Steeple. Hannah once again demonstrated her all round ability, competing in this event for the first time.
