Senior School Steps Up for Breast Cancer

Oct 27, 2025 12:00 AM

Students and staff across Senior School have stepped up this October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, showing Burgmann’s community spirit in action.

Led by Year 12 student Olivia and her Pastoral Care Group, the Burgmann Team includes more than 40 participants, including nine teachers and the Principal. Each person has committed to walking 58 km this month, honouring the 58 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

The group has also held a bake sale to add to their fundraising efforts, helping raise over $8,400 so far. Burgmann is currently the top fundraising team in the Cancer Council’s Walk for Breast Cancer event.

A wonderful example of our community connecting and contributing in support of others.

You can still support the Burgmann Team.
