|The School has been working with various ACT Government agencies over
the last several years to seek ways to improve vehicle movement and
pedestrian safety around the Valley campus and, more broadly, the
Gungahlin area. |
The School has partnered with Cox Architecture, Sellick Consultants and Elton Town Planners to develop a proposal that aims to improve accessibility and safety for students, better manage vehicles, and enhance the amenity and heritage value of the area.
The proposal includes improved access from the Valley Avenue, 162 car spaces, an active travel link along Delma View for pedestrians and cyclists, improved landscape works, heritage interpretation of the Wells Station Track and a dedicated school drop-off and pickup area.
Attached for your reference is more information regarding this proposal.
Next week, the School will commence Community Consultation as required by the planning approval process. Please see information on these drop in sessions below.

- Tuesday 4th December 2018, 4.30pm – 5.30pm

Burgmann Anglican School invites you to share your comments and opinions
on proposed works between Delma View and the school. Burgmann has
identified the poor standard of safety and frustrating traffic
conditions in the immediate area and is proposing to assist by
constructing and gifting a public asset to the ACT Government. These
works will improve accessibility and safety for students, better manage
vehicles, and enhance the amenity and heritage values of the area. The
proposal includes improved access, 162 car spaces, an active travel link
for pedestrians and cyclists, high quality landscape works, school
drop-off area and heritage interpretation and signage.
At the community drop in session the project team will be available to answer questions and provide information about the proposal and the design so far.
If you are unable to meet us at the drop-in session, but wish to know more or comment on the proposal please feel free to make contact with Elton Consulting on 02 6274 3300 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
