In our harsh Australian environment, special care needs to be taken to ensure that students are protected from the sun's harmful rays. Burgmann Anglican School enforces the rule 'no hat, no play' all year round. This means that all students must wear a hat when they are outdoors. The hat will be a school hat, or under special circumstances (for example, when the student has lost his/her school hat) a hat from home as a temporary measure. Students should supply their own sun-screen.

When a student does not have a hat he/she will be asked to sit and play in the shade for the duration of the break
