Parents and Friends

Parents and Friends Association (P & F)

This group is an incorporated body that meets regularly throughout the school year to discuss issues and identify opportunities to pursue its three main objectives:

  • To provide an opportunity for parents and friends of children at the school to discuss school activities, raise issues and to contribute to the school community generally;
  • To raise funds to help the purchase extra equipment and facilities for the school; and
  • To organise activities designed to encourage the parents and children to meet as a community.

The P & F  Committee is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting, which is held in March.  Regular General Meetings are also held throughout the year to enable parents and friends to meet and discuss a wide range of issues. All parents and friends of children attending the School are welcome.

The P & F also co-ordinates information nights three or four times a year on topics of interest to the school community generally.

Key events held on a regular basis that provide opportunities to raise funds, mix socially (or a bit of both) include:

  • Film night premieres;
  • Trivia nights;
  • Canteen days;
  • Raffles;
  • Race Course Parking;
  • Book Club

The P & F plays an important role in supporting community spirit at the school.  Fund-raising by the P & F provides for added equipment and facilities for all members of the school.  On-going support and input by school members is highly valued and appreciated.  Everyone is welcome at all P & F monthly meetings and associated functions.
