Lesson Times

Most weekly lessons are conducted during school hours. It may be possible in certain cases for special arrangements to be made for lessons outside normal school hours (ie before school, during recess/lunch, after school). Times are published on the noticeboard outside the Music Coordinator's room. Students are also informed of any changes to their lesson times in their Music Practice Diaries.

Where possible, tutors rotate lesson times of older students so that they are not missing the same class lesson each week. However, for younger students, it is more beneficial for them to maintain regular lesson times. All lesson times for students are negotiated between parents and tutors and in consultation with classroom teachers.

Students attending music lessons are expected to return to their class directly following their music lesson with minimal disruption to the class lesson and to catch up any work missed during their absence.
