Performance Program

Burgmann has an exciting and comprehensive range of performance opportunities available to all students. This program provides opportunities for students to demonstrate their skills in prepared work. These occasions allow students to experience performing under the pressure of an audience, develop presentation skills, poise and confidence and hear the performance of others.

All students involved in the School music program are encouraged to perform several times throughout the year and for a variety of different audiences.

Students are encouraged to perform as individuals, members of small groups and as a class. Students having lessons as part of the instrumental/vocal program and members of the ensembles are encouraged to perform for their peers, teachers, families and the wider community. These opportunities include weekly Assemblies and Chapel, Soirees, Eisteddfods, Foundation Day celebrations, Awards nights and numerous other School and community functions throughout the year. All students participating in the School's instrumental program should be involved in at least one main music performance group in order to gain experience in performing as part of a team.
