Community

At Burgmann Anglican School we offer a broad education which aims to facilitate responsible, confident and empathetic contributors to the wellbeing of society.

We believe that it is important to be involved within the community through:

  • welcoming visits and involvement of people in the local community;
  • going out to help and serve the community;
  • caring for God's creation.

Our school currently has two ongoing community projects:

The Valley Ruins - an ACT heritage site adjacent to the school grounds. Our involvement includes conservation of the site, studies into the history of the area and guided tours of the ruins;

Indonesian Sister School - Burgmann Anglican School has established a sister-school relationship with Hidup Baru, a school in Indonesia. We have presented them with a computer so that students may exchange emails to foster a deeper understanding of different lifestyles and cultures.
