Acceptance of pupils for enrolment into Burgmann Anglican School is in order of registration and/or enrolment, priority being given to siblings and children of staff, subject to the following:

  • Parents are expected to support the philosophy of the school and the implications it has for the school's curriculum, including religious education, and worship drawing on the spirituality and liturgy of the Anglican Church.
  • The ratio of sexes in each year cohort should be kept as close to 1:1 as possible.
  • Prospective parents and students of Burgmann Anglican School will be interviewed by the Principal before enrolment is accepted.
  • Students with special needs will be considered and offered positions provided that in the professional judgement of the Principal, assisted where appropriate by external expertise, the School has the resources to meet the individual needs of the student adequately. The teacher who would be responsible for the care of the prospective student would be involved in the above process and adequately prepared to meet the student's needs should he/she be offered a position, ie. in-service.
  • Our age requirements are as follows:
      • Our Preschool program is a 2-year program. Children wishing to enter 3-year-old Preschool at the beginning of the year need to have turned 3 by 31 January of the year of entry. Children turning 3 between 31 January and 30 April may be offered a place later in the year subject to our normal enrolment requirements. Children wishing to enter 4-year-old Preschool need to have turned 4 by 30 April of the year of entry. There are very limited places for children to enter at this level.
      • Children wishing to enter Kindergarten need to have turned 5 by 30 April of the year of entry.

Prospective student will be given sibling status from the date of offer until the final date specified in the letter of offer.
